The new 62,000 square-foot plant in Gallatin will focus on metal-stamping technology producing chassis parts, body panels, and suspension parts among others, for automotive companies. The company plans to create between 50-70 jobs.

ECD Commissioner Matthew Kisber said this announcement represents yet another achievement in the recruitment of high-quality jobs across the state under the Governor’s Jobs Cabinet approach.

“Tennessee is continuing to build upon its reputation as the Southern hub for a strong automotive industry,” Kisber said. “We are continuing to have success in recruiting companies, like PK U.S.A., not only because of all of the conveniences and advantages that the state offers to the industry, but also due to the clear spirit of cooperation that state and local governments and economic development entities continue to display.”

Sumner County Executive R.J. “Hank” Thompson said since PK U.S.A., Inc., began operations in December 1989, the company has expanded six times to meet customer demand.

Located in Shelbyville, Ind., in the United States, PK U.S.A., Inc. occupies a new 317,978 square-foot facility built on a 66 acre site. The plant is the primary supplier of metal body parts, chassis parts and plastic injection parts for automotive companies in the United States as well as other parts of the world.
